La obra&nbsp;Nicandro y Alda&nbsp;abarca un periodo de tiempo que va desde el a\u00f1o 1937 a la \u00e9poca actual. Son cartas de vida. Las cartas de Nicandro Espindola se conservan, el resto fue ficcionado. La estructura est\u00e1 conformada por ellas, por escenas que se dramatizan y textos dichos al p\u00fablico, m\u00fasica, bailes, canciones. Es la historia de ambos personajes desde que se conocen; se relata a trav\u00e9s de las cartas de tres personajes: Josefa, (madre de Alda), y Alda y Nicandro que son los protagonistas. Cartas que viajan en el vag\u00f3n postal de los trenes que recorren la geograf\u00eda argentina y relatan la historia personal y los procesos del pa\u00eds. La puesta estar\u00e1 apoyada exclusivamente en los actores que transitar\u00e1n sin soluci\u00f3n de continuidad entre la realidad y la ficci\u00f3n. Por momentos leer\u00e1n las cartas, otros las escribir\u00e1n o las dialogar\u00e1n. Algunas situaciones ser\u00e1n jugadas teatralmente y otras ser\u00e1n contadas, estableciendo una interlocuci\u00f3n con los espectadores. Los sonidos, la m\u00fasica, las canciones habitan el relato.
