{"id":27987,"date":"2026-01-27T11:20:26","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T14:20:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sergiolapegue.com\/site\/?p=27987"},"modified":"2026-01-27T11:20:28","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T14:20:28","slug":"la-estacion-de-temperley-el-corazon-ferroviario-de-lomas-de-zamora-y-del-conurbano-sur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sergiolapegue.com\/site\/2026\/01\/27\/la-estacion-de-temperley-el-corazon-ferroviario-de-lomas-de-zamora-y-del-conurbano-sur\/","title":{"rendered":"La estaci\u00f3n de Temperley, el coraz\u00f3n ferroviario de Lomas de Zamora y del conurbano Sur"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/launion.com.ar\/nota\/52963\/2025\/11\/asi-lucia-la-estacion-de-banfield-hace-exactamente-100-anos-su-evolucion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">El crecimiento de Lomas de Zamora no puede entenderse sin el ferrocarril.<\/a>&nbsp;Desde fines del siglo XIX, las estaciones de tren funcionaron como verdaderos motores del desarrollo local.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/launion.com.ar\/nota\/48957\/2025\/06\/alfredo-beranger-y-su-tragica-muerte-la-historia-de-un-hito-para-temperleynbsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tal es el caso de la querida estaci\u00f3n de Temperley.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A su alrededor surgieron los primeros barrios, los comercios y la vida social que le dieron identidad al partido. Dentro de ese proceso, la estaci\u00f3n de Temperley ocupa un lugar central, y vale la pena repasar c\u00f3mo se fue construyendo su historia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La parada ferroviaria se inaugur\u00f3 el 1 de enero de 1871. En aquellos a\u00f1os era apenas una construcci\u00f3n modesta ubicada a la altura de la actual calle General Paz. Su sencillez era tal que quedaron an\u00e9cdotas curiosas: cuando Carmen N\u00f3brega de Avellaneda, esposa del presidente Nicol\u00e1s Avellaneda, iba a tomar el tren, el jefe de estaci\u00f3n, Juan Pereuilh, le acercaba una silla al and\u00e9n para que pudiera esperar con mayor comodidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El movimiento fue aumentando y la infraestructura comenz\u00f3 a quedar chica. Por eso, en 1884 la estaci\u00f3n fue trasladada al lugar donde se encuentra hoy, en terrenos donados por Jorge Temperley. El cambio coincidi\u00f3 con la incorporaci\u00f3n de una nueva v\u00eda y con la creciente importancia del empalme local dentro del sistema del Ferrocarril del Sud, clave para conectar Buenos Aires con la ciudad de La Plata.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">El progreso ferroviario con epicentro en Temperley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>El progreso ferroviario continu\u00f3 expandi\u00e9ndose. El 1 de agosto de 1886 el Ferrocarril del Oeste habilit\u00f3 la l\u00ednea que un\u00eda M\u00e1rmol con Haedo, atravesando las v\u00edas del Ferrocarril del Sud en Temperley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con el incremento del tr\u00e1nsito de trenes surgi\u00f3 la necesidad de facilitar el cruce peatonal. Se construy\u00f3 entonces un t\u00fanel azulejado de blanco que permiti\u00f3 atravesar las v\u00edas durante varios a\u00f1os. Esa obra qued\u00f3 clausurada en 1924, cuando se levantaron los dos puentes peatonales actuales, ubicados a la altura de las calles Avellaneda\u201314 de Julio y 25 de Mayo\u2013Cangallo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En 1888 tambi\u00e9n se abrieron nuevos accesos para veh\u00edculos de tracci\u00f3n a sangre. Fue necesario trazar una calle que cruzara la antigua Quinta de Avellaneda, lugar de descanso presidencial, y ese camino termin\u00f3 convirti\u00e9ndose en la actual calle Avellaneda. Frente a la estaci\u00f3n se instal\u00f3 adem\u00e1s una amplia playa de cargas, se\u00f1al del movimiento econ\u00f3mico que ya generaba el tren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La consolidaci\u00f3n de Temperley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para la d\u00e9cada del 30, Temperley se hab\u00eda consolidado como el principal nudo ferroviario del Ferrocarril del Sud. Las v\u00edas se cuadruplicaron y el complejo lleg\u00f3 a contar con diez ramales, incluyendo las terminales. Los andenes se elevaron y la circulaci\u00f3n qued\u00f3 definitivamente organizada mediante los puentes peatonales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este recorrido hist\u00f3rico permite dimensionar la importancia que tuvo (y a\u00fan tiene) el ferrocarril en la vida cotidiana de la regi\u00f3n.
